The new year is almost here and with it a new beginning. Once I’ve made up my mind to make a change, I’ve never believed in waiting until Monday or next month or until the new year starts, but I always do think a little more when the calendar changes to a new year.
All of this is especially true now that I solely work as an entrepreneur. In general, I feel freer than I ever have before, but there’s always room for improvement both personally and professionally. This year I’m choosing to focus on one word that I believe will help me make solid goals for 2018 and drastically improve my life overall. Ok, so what exactly is this one word?!
This has always been an issue for me even as a child, but as an adult, I’m more aware of how clutter and disorganization makes me feel physically, mentally and emotionally and I’ve had enough! Plus, I work best when I’m challenged and this is a great challenge for me.
But as with all goals and resolutions, it’s easier said than done. In order for me to maintain organization on all levels, I know I need motivation, consistency, effort, persistence, patience, forgiveness when I fall off track and the ability to re-focus when life gets in the way. I know I desperately need this focus to live a better life and to better serve my clients not only in 2018, but in the years ahead.
Visit me again tomorrow when I share my goals for 2018 and how they stem from my focus word.
Cheers to a New Year!
