Frequently Asked Questions
I have been in business since 2009 with the last two years being my biggest yet in terms of clients and weddings. While I do photograph some families, kids, high school seniors and miscellaneous events, I love weddings and that is what I specialize in and where the focus of my business lies.
The details of my wedding day package can be found at this link: http://captivatingimagesstudio.com/investment/
To ease a number of decisions couples have to make, I only offer one package. Should you want a different package because you are having a smaller, more intimate wedding please don’t hesitate to ask as I will be flexible!
To reserve your date, it is $400 down payment. After that, I require a 6-month payment as well as the final balance. At this time I only accept cash or checks as payment.
I typically meet with clients at my studio in downtown Green Bay, WI at 320 N.Broadway St. #320 Green Bay, WI 54303.
While I do have an assistant photographer unless I am physically unable to photograph your wedding I will be there no matter what the case may be.
Typically within 2-4 weeks your session will be edited and delivered.
You will receive a link from a website called PASS. From there you will download the folder of all the high res images on to your desktop and print from your vendor of choice. Locally I do recommend Camera Corner Connecting Point since they are very affordable and have high-quality print standards.
Due to the nature of digital photography, several more images than what you will receive are taken. All blurry, inappropriate and awkward images are deleted. From there all other images that you will receive are edited for blemishes, other imperfections and for creative purposes.
Yes…the cameras and lights tend to wash out your features and magnify imperfections. While I do slight touchups for wrinkles and blemishes, I cannot “add” makeup to your images. Professional makeup may look and feel heavier than what you are used to in everyday life, but a great makeup artist knows how to tastefully enhance your face for your wedding day. It is one investment on your wedding day you won’t regret!
Always real! They look so much better in photographs and have more vibrant colors. If you are trying to save money on flowers, at a minimum I recommend a real bouquet for the bride. Again, it is another investment you won’t regret!
That depends…your package is 9 hours and some couples prefer more getting ready photos or other couples prefer more reception coverage for the bouquet/garter tosses and Grand March. That is up to you and typically we discuss that at our final meeting before your wedding. Additional hours may be purchased with your package. If you would like to have some photos taken before your ceremony, I recommend at a minimum to start two hours beforehand. I need to get photos of the dress and jewelry, the ladies getting ready and the men getting boutonnieres pinned on in addition to any other photos wanted before the ceremony.
Keep in mind that a receiving line after your ceremony takes up time for your outdoor photos…family portraits after the ceremony take about a half hour and depending on the distance from the ceremony to the outdoor site to the reception hall all that travel time also impacts how long you have for outdoor photos. Ideally, an hour and a half is a good amount of time.
My contract states 4-16 weeks. Depending on the time of year, that time length could be longer or shorter. On average, it’s about 4 weeks, but it could be longer due to the season or life circumstances for me. I’m happy to say it’s never taken me 16 weeks!
Yes, I try to post a few images the same night or next day or at least within the same week. Once your whole portfolio is finished selected images will be placed in a blog post on my website blog.
